Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPgoodnight
For some, the world goes to sleep at night. For others, it comes alive. This weekend, the goal is to capture both sides of that spectrum: the bright energy and the quiet rest.
Here are some tips to get you started:
Whether it’s calming down or speeding up, notice how the energy shifts. Document your family settling in for dinner or take a Boomerang of your friends hitting the town.
Focus on light. Whether it’s the blue hue of dusk spreading over your neighborhood or a city skyline illuminated against the night sky, notice how light changes and evolves from bright to dim.
Look beyond your immediate circle — how do other people react to the shift from day to night? Take a portrait of a server heading to work or a video of downtown streets emptying as office workers head home.
PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHPgoodnight hashtag only to photos and videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own visuals to the project. If you include music in your video submissions, please only use music to which you own the rights. Any tagged photo or video taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured next week.

ПРОГРАММА ЛОЯЛЬНОСТИ "КОПИ/ЭКОНОМЬ"

Korean artist So Youn Lee’s (@soyounlee) ethereal paintings imagine a new universe inhabited by Mango, her name for her cute, cartoonish characters.⁣
⁣
“I gave my characters the name Mango to reflect how I feel about them. I was doodling one day and what came up was some weird-looking face with big eyes. It recalled the memory of when I first tasted a piece of mango fruit. The texture was so foreign, so weird at first, but slowly, I started liking it. I wanted my characters to be weird at first glance but become familiar and connected to the viewers over time.”⁣
⁣
“When I was young, I was surrounded by cartoons and animations. I love the simplicity of the forms and the exaggeration in the cartoons and animations but still how precisely they could tell the stories and emotions,” says So Youn, who lives in Los Angeles.⁣
⁣
“My characters have big eyes because that’s how I felt when I came to the USA. I didn’t understand the language nor the culture. I needed to observe the new world around me aggressively and carefully, but still with excitement and a fresh perspective,” she says.⁣
